Year of New Beer: The Ogden, Goose Island Beer Co (IL)

Written By: Dion on 07/12/2014

White grape, green apple skin, grassy hops, and a Belgian yeast note on the nose. On the tongue, the fruits are joined by a candied apricot, with traces of coriander and banana. The hop bitterness is mild, remaining green and dry. Very boozy throughout. A pretty good American stab at a tripel, but several steps behind the Karmeliets and Westmalles of the world. Cheers to Todd Antz and The Keg for having this one in stock several weeks back.
