Year of New Beer: Prairie Bomb!, Prairie Artisan Ales (OK)

Written By: Dion on 07/15/2014

Finally getting around to trying this beast. Nose is a full onslaught of coffee, with some chocolate and leafy hops lingering meekly in the background. On the tongue the coffee roast is rich and bitter, but is tempered somewhat by the cocoa sweetness mid-palate. Vanilla presence is marginal , and only near the dry, slightly bitter finish do I appreciate the judicious use of chili pepper. This is very well done, and a year in the cellar should be complimentary. Cheers to KEvin Patterson and The Beer Trappe for helping me procure this one.
