Year of New Beer: Alt Route, Sierra Nevada/Victory Brewing (CA/PA)

Slightly sweet grains, hints of caramel, and a touch of damp tree bark on the nose. On the tongue comes a light caramel sweetness, toasted malt, and moderate bitterness. This is a case where the end collaboration is not greater than its individual brewery parts.
