Year of New Beer: Zeke's Pale Ale, O'Fallon Brewery (MO)

One of the most appealing parts of drinking pale ales and IPAs for me is the aroma. Pungent citrus, spicy pine, or maybe herbal dankness. I like most everything. Except for wet dog. Not sure what the hell kind of hop smells vaguely like wet dog, but they used it in this beer. It's unfortunate, because on the taste side of the ledger, things are respectable. Citrus rind that slips into a grassy bitterness, with a decent malt backbone. Someone just needs to rework this a bit to improve the aroma.
