Year of New Beer: The Eleventh Labor, Schlafly Tap Room (MO)

Everyone is complaining about the wax thickness on this one, but my Whaleslayer didn't seem to notice. The head disappears almost instantaneously, leaving behind a strong aroma of sour apricot and seemingly peach, with lesser notes of straw and funk. On the tongue is a puckering fruit note that presents initially more as lemon zest and peach. With warmth, however, the apricot picks up serious steam, very tart in its intensity. Just a bit of mustiness before a dry, acidic finish. Very nice beer.
