Year of New Beer: Jungle Boogie with Mango, Marz Community Brewing (Chicago)

A lot of IPAs feature an aroma that can have mango as a descriptor...this is just ridiculous. Full and juicy with lesser notes of peach and orange rind. As with the other variants, warmth brings earthy tea leaves and hints of damp wheat. On the tongue, the mango again takes center stage, providing a ripe sweetness that marries well with a slightly dank hop bite. Unlike the other versions of this beer, the tea doesn't seem to be as noticeable working through the bottle, instead getting a bit lost behind a dry, slightly harsh finish. Gets a bit muddled on the end, but is still an exceptional beer.
