Year of New Beer: Blackberry Sour, West 6th Brewing (Lexington) & Twisted Bit, Braxton Brewing (KY)

Not sure how I've managed to miss the Blackberry Sour, West 6th Brewing (Lexington), but glad I finally got to it tonight. Crisp and tart with the obvious notes of unripened blackberry, but also featuring some lemon zest and crabapple with a cider-like hint of sweetness. Very good. Secondly was Twisted Bit, Braxton Brewing (KY). I rarely order a lager with other really good beers on the board, but this is light and refreshing with a mild biscuit tone and slightly sweet cereal grain. A touch floral on the nose with a mildly dry finish. Pretty good beer.
