Year of New Beer: Crack the Skye, 3Floyds Brewing (IN)

Big coffee and fudge on the nose, with traces of caramel and oak. On the tongue, rich roasted coffee takes command, but the bitterness is restrained. Instead, a light vanilla and touch of cream blend with a semi-sweet chocolate and hints of oak to produce a smooth, extremely drinkable brew. I'm not sure where they hid the alcohol in this. Very nice. Glad I made it in to HopCat and snagged the final pour of this keg.
