Year of New Beer: Eureka (with Galaxy hops), Tree House Brewing Co (MA)

The can says Blond Ale, but the nose screams IPA. One week old today, this one pops with aromas of grapefruit, mango, and peach, backed by a very light bread note. On the tongue, a smooth, fruity bitterness is accentuated with hints of dry grasses. Still just a mildly bready malt backbone. Call it what you will, but suffice it to say, I would choose more blonde ales if they all had this much hop bite.
