Year of New Beer: Thunderbolt, Central State Brewing (IN)

Lemon zest, grapefruit peel, and herbal grasses make up the bulk of the nose. With warmth, the yeast note that is common to most Central State beers begins to shine. On the tongue, bitterness is provided once again by loads of citrus pith and dry field grasses. A rise in temperature brings out a softer, melon sweetness in the mid-palate. A spicy yeast and resinous hop bite grab the taste buds and hold on through the finish. Really good beer.
