The Pomegranate Margarita sour from MT gets a sweet twist with vanilla and lactose additions, and the result is equally outstanding. Aroma still holds plenty of lemon, lime, and tart pomegranate, but warmth brings on the most subtle vanilla sweetness. Very similar on the tongue. Initially, this is almost identical to the base beer...fairly tart, with a definite margarita lean, even down to the salted rim. It's not until the temperature begins to rise that the vanilla and lactose begin to flex their muscle, giving this a sweeter, almost pastry feel. Really interesting blend of sweet and sour all the way through the finish. Fantastic.
