Year of New Beer: Farmer's Lonely, Rock House Brewing (Lexington)

Very light strawberry nose joins the more traditional saison yeast and spice notes, with nothing being overly aggressive. Love the flavor profile of this. Strawberry can be tough to pull off in a beer, but this one does a good job. It's on the subtle side, but there's no doubt as to its presence. It does a good job of avoiding a sweetness that would have most likely detracted from the base, instead remaining more floral in nature, augmenting the light spice and yeast. Just a bit of breadiness and field grass with warmth. This would be an awesome summer crusher.
