Year of New Beer: Smoke Jumper Imperial Porter, Left Hand Brewing (CO)

Porters and grilled meat just go well together, and this one is no exception. Really nice roasted malt and smoke aromas; the flavors run from coffee and mildly sweet chocolate to salted cashews and subdued smokiness, all balanced brilliantly by just the right amount of hop bitterness. This is a really nice example of the style, pairing well with the grilled flatiron steak.
