Year of New Beer: Levadura, Stillwater Artisanal Ales (MD)

For me, the Gose is the perfect style of beer for warm weather. Not sure why Stillwater waited so late to release this, but given our unseasonably warm temps, I'll take it. Pretty classic Gose from an aroma standpoint, as a light wheat sits atop a fairly briny base. With warmth, a tart lime comes forward. On the tongue, the agave sweetness is fleeting, giving way to the margarita-like influences provided by the salt and sour lime. Smooth and easy drinking, a really solid version of the style.
